Sapa is home of various hill-tribe communities, it’s the only place in Vietnam that catches extremely rare snow flakes in winter, the base to start any conquest to Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina (3,143m) via primitive forests and spectacular mountainsides.

Day 1: Ha Noi - Sapa - 350km (L/D)
From Hanoi, overland for a picturesque day journey to Sapa in the far Northwest corner of Vietnam, with stopovers at Yen Bai for lunch and visit Black Dzao and H'mong villages en route. Late afternoon you will arrive in Lao Cai, the busy border gate town adjacent to Hekou city of China across the Red River. From Lao Cai, the road winds uphill to Sapa, a former French hill resort and home to some of Vietnam's most colorful ethnic groups. Transfer to hotel. Visit the exciting market of Sapa. Dinner and O/N in Sapa.

Day 2: Sapa - Jungle Camping (B/L/D)
Depart with your guide and porters early and go downhill thru the H'mong village near Cat Cat stream and cross Linh Ho River, bamboo forests and villages of the hill tribal people before reaching the camp. The camp is on the elevation of 2,200m. Dinner will be prepared by the cook by a camp fire while the nocturnal sounds of the forest offer an exotic soundtrack in the background. O/N at the Forest camp.

Day 3: Forest camping – Fansipan Peak 3,143m (B/L/D)
After breakfast continue onwards to 2,400m elevation where the forest gives way to huge groves of bamboo and up to a ridge at 2,900m that offers breath-taking views over Sapa valley. After about 5-6 hours climbing up and downhill on winding roads, you will reach the elevation 3,143m, the top of Indochina. Congratulations! You’ve got it!
From this Highest Point of Vietnam there are stunning views to China to the North and Laos to the West. Have a rest before descending back down to the Base Camp (2,400m) for the night. O/Nat the Base Camp.

Day 4: Base Camp - Sapa (B/L/D)
Enjoy a morning coffee and the sounds of nature as the porters break down the camp and back to Sapa. Trek downhill is always more quickly. You will be arriving in Sapa late afternoon. O/N in hotel in Sapa.

Day 5: Sapa - Hanoi (B/L/)
After breakfast, the car will take you back to Hanoi via Lao Cai and Yen Bai. Lunch en route. Arrive Hanoi in the evening. End of services.
