| Home >> Tour Shop :>> SHP55: Vietnam Discovery 14 Days/13 Nights This customized itinerary is perfect for the adventurous traveler. Spend two weeks travelling through this beautiful country combining trekking in local villages, kayaking in Halong Bay and visiting the Mekong Delta. Day 1: Ha Noi Arrival (D) Our tour guide will meet you on your arrival at the airport, and then transfer to your hotel for check in. After that, it's free time for sightseeing, and enjoy our welcomed dinner with Little Vietnam Tours Leaders at a cozy restaurant in the Old Quarter. Over night in Ha Noi. Day 2: Hanoi - Mai Chau – Hang Kia village (B, L, D) After breakfast, we'll leave Hanoi for Mai Chau. Lunch will be served in a traditional stilt house of the Thai people, after that we drive for one hour to Sa Linh Village to begin our trekking. Today we’ll walk on the off beaten track to Hang Kia village, home of the H’mong Minority people where we stay overnight in a traditional long house. Day 3: Hang Kia village – Van village (B, L, D) Today we’ll trek through tropical rain forest, using the local tracks and passing through cornfields as we descend in to Mai Chau Valley. The trek takes around 7 hours and is quite steep in places. Lunch will be served en route, and if weather permit, we will have a picnic lunch near a babbling brook at the foot of the valley. Tonight we will be their guests in Van village. There, we will be toasted as honored guests and sample some of their homemade rice wine! Day 4: Van village - Khoe - Hanoi (B, L) This morning we’ll trek for a couple of hours passing through several more Thai hamlets. We walk on the valley floor and are surrounded by rice paddies and beautiful scenery. At the small village of Khoe, we meet up with our waiting vehicle and drive back to Mai Chau. Lunch is again served in the stilt house restaurant in Mai Chau and there is also the chance to do a little souvenir shopping before we return to Hanoi Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D) After breakfast we head for a 3-hour drive to Halong Bay. This two-day cruise gives you a chance to enjoy the bay from the luxury of our junk. We board at noon and enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon, we explore some of the limestone caves such as: Amazing Cave (Hang Sung Sot), Tunnel Cave. You also have a chance to see many beautiful islands with different formations such as: Stone Dog Island, Dom Island, Fighting Cock Island, Toad island, etc...Then our captain will find a secluded spot for swimming and sun bathing before dinner. At night, there is an option of night fishing or playing card (not for money but for a party of wine) Day 6: Halong Bay (B, L) Waking up and having breakfast served on board. Continue cruising around the Halong bay and Bai Tu Long bay before getting back to the boat station with a friendly smiling face of our driver waiting to pick you up at the pier and transfer to Tuan Chau Island which has a theatre like Opera House in Sydney for lunch. After lunch, we'll drive back to Ha noi with a stop on the way to visit Dong Trieu ceramic village as a short break. Arrive in Hanoi at 04:30 pm. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 7: Hanoi - Hue (B) Enjoy your free morning in Hanoi today for shopping or just hanging around the great environment of the old quarter. In the late morning, we transfer to airport to take a short flight to Hue. In the afternoon we will visit the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor's private residence. We also visit the vibrant Dong Ba market. Day 8: Hue - Hoi An (B, L) Take boat trip to Linh Mu Pagoda, the oldest one in town and was very famous during Vietnam war in 1960s, the home of the Cremated Buddhist Monk Thich Quang Duc, continue our boat trip to Tu Duc's Tomb then drive to Khai Dinh's Tomb. In the afternoon, we drive to Hoi An with some stops at Hai Van Pass, China Beach, Lang Co Beach. Arrive in Hoi An in the late afternoon, free time and overnight in Hoi An Day 9: Hoi An (B, L) Morning take the city tour of the ancient city, the highlights will be Tan Ky, the ancient commercial house, Cantonese communal house, the town's Chinese congregational assembly halls and Japanese Bridge. Lunch at local restaurant, afternoon visit Marble Mountains & Non Nuoc beach with a stop at the stone-carving village. Dinner and O/N in Hoi An. Day 10: Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An (B) A day trip to My Son, the Cham ruins which used to be the Holy temple complex of Champa Kingdom who occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to16th century with very rich in history and culture. Back to Hoi An. Dinner at cookery center. O/N in Hoi An. Day 11: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) This morning we'll transfer to Danang city for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. We will have an early lunch before an afternoon tour of the city including the War Remnants museum, the Reunification Palace and the Ben Thanh market. Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B, L, D) This morning we drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruse along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Towards the end of the day we arrive at the home of a local family whose house is built on stilts over the water. These people will be our hosts for this evening and will tell us more about life in the Delta. Day 13: Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we'll have breakfast before boarding our riverboats once more for a cruise to Vinh Long town. stopping along the way to visit some local cottage industries. Following this we will have rendezvous with our vehicle for the drive to the town of My Tho, where we will visit the Vinh Trang pagoda, before our return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city Day 14: Departure day (B) We will stay goodbye after breakfast and you have time to do your last shopping before we check out and transfer to airport for the fight home.
