It is filled with all the best of Vietnam interesting places from Ho Chi Minh City to the heritage site of Halong bay... Day 1: Arrival in Saigon Up on arrival in Saigon, you will be met at the airport, transfer to hotel. Check in and relax. Overnight in Saigon. Day 2: Saigon city tour – Cu Chi Tunnel In the morning we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land". On our way there we will drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city. In the afternoon, we depart our hotel for the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that we will visit War Remnant Museum, where you can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. Before our lunch we stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get our good shots for our memory of the biggest city in Vietnam. Overnight in Saigon. Today breakfast included. Day 3: Saigon – Fly to Hue at 06:05 – Visit Hue This early morning, we transfer to the airport for our short domestic flight to Hue. Arriving in Hue, we transfer to hotel, then we start the tour in Hue. Hue is known as an ancient Capital city of many original historical vestiges. There are more than 100 architectural works to be extremely reflected the life of Emperors and Mandarins under Nguyen’s reign. Situated in the middle of hills on the Southern Bank of Perfume River are very beautiful tombs of Nguyen Kings. Our tour starts at 08:00 in the morning at the lobby of the hotel. We will be met and transferred to the Wharf where we will cruise along the Perfume River to visit: - Thien Mu Pagoda (The Heavenly Lady pagoda), from here we will have a good view of Perfume River and surroundings. - Tu Duc King’s tomb, which is one of the most beautiful works of Royal Architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb lies in a boundless pine forest. Then we cruise back to the cit. In the afternoon, we will visit the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City; and Dong Ba market. Tour ends at around 06:00PM at hotel. Today breakfast included. Day 4: Hue – Hanoi at 08:10 – Visit Hanoi This morning, we take flight to Hanoi. Arriving in Hanoi, we transfer to hotel. Our trip starting from your hotel to the Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070. Inside are the stone stele mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with the names of the university's graduates. The complex is divided into five courtyards with different paths that would originally have been reserved for the Emperor and his mandarins. One of the courtyards contains the statue of Confucius guarded by two beautiful bronze storks standing on turtles. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education. Lunch will be at a fine local restaurant in Hanoi. After lunch, we will visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam; Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the grounds. Following by that we will wander around the city by car to see the real life of Hanoian as well as the difference parts the city. After that we will take one-hour cyclo around the Old Quarter, known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally, each of the 36 streets names' was related to the products being sold there. Before we go back to hotel: we will have chance enjoy the unique Water Puppet show. Hear the Vietnamese traditional instruments and singing from the live musicians who play throughout the show. Moreover, it had its moments, there are different stories, mostly enacting historical events or slice of Vietnamese rural life... Farmers in their fields. The trip will be finished after the show at your hotel. Today breakfast included. Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay This morning we depart from Hanoi around 08.00. After more than 3 hours driving including a stop-over at the Humanity Center to donate money to the children who are the victims of Agent Orange, we arrive in Halong Bay at noon. We jump straight onto our boat, eat a delicious, fresh, seafood lunch and spend about 4 hours cruising this secluded bay. During that time we will have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Heaven Palace cave, crammed with stalagtites and stalagmites. Weather permitting; we can swim from our boat in the bay. We will return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Today breakfast, lunch included. Day 6: Hanoi – Hoa Lu & Tam Coc Our tour starts in Hanoi at 8:00AM. After 2 hours driving southward of Hanoi, we will visit Bich Dong Pagoda to see the whole scenery of the mountains, waterways, fields, and sky covered in green mist. From the upper pagoda, one has the most magnificent view of Bich Dong, which is romantically charming in terms of architecture and history. The location for this pagoda was chosen in 1428 after two monks were charmed by the view of the river and the mountains. We cannot visit Bich Dong Pagoda without visiting Tam Coc Grotto, located approximately 2km from the pagoda. Tam Coc is 3km from Van Lam Wharf. Take a boat from Van Lam Wharf to reach the Tam Coc Grotto, consisting of the Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba grottoes. These caves are adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colours that sparkle like gemstones. After lunch we will visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital with 2 temples of the Kings Dinh and Le. Then we diver back to Hanoi in the afternoon. Today breakfast, lunch included. Day 7: Hanoi – Departure Today we are free at our leisure in Hanoi, then transfer to Hanoi airport for our departure flight. Trip concludes. Today breakfast included.
