2/Accommodations
There is a sense of intimacy here with just 15 rooms and suites located in two separate houses. Eight rooms are located in The Khamboua House, a jewel of traditional Lao architecture. Built in 1903, it opens onto a beautiful 500-square-metre garden edging the Nam Khan River. Here you can relax and enjoy glimpses of the serene Lao lifestyle. The other seven rooms are located in The Lamache House, built originally in 1898 to host the then royal family, and converted into an ice-cream factory in the 1930s. Following recent restoration, its heritage has been thoughtfully preserved through the use of traditional materials and construction techniques, working in harmony with 21st century comforts to create a uniquely stylish and relaxing environment.
All rooms and suites feature a stylish bathroom, king-size bed and sofa, and open onto a spacious private terrace or verandah overlooking the street or garden – a favoured place for observing daily life unfold over a leisurely breakfast or afternoon tea. Guests in the three exquisite suites will enjoy space on a grander scale, with the largest suite featuring a private entrance hall, exquisite bathroom and spacious living and dining areas. And with wireless Internet access in every room, you can stay connected even as you relish the tranquility of your surroundings.
3/Restaurants and other facilities
The open-air Mango Tree restaurant serves up a fusion of Asian and Western cuisine with a Laotian twist. While away the hours here any time of day, as you savour both the menu and the surrounding sights.
Other facilities: La Boutique retails a selection of products and handicrafts as part of Alila’s commitment to support the work of local craftsmen and artists. The selection includes hand-embroidered items, wood crafts and silk textiles made by local hill tribes, as well as a variety of teas originating from three different provinces of Laos, and a choice of infusions and spices from Luang Prabang.
Library browses through a selection of magazines, novels and reference books that provide insight into the fascinating history and culture of this extraordinary destination.
4/Packages and Rates
The rates quoted are in US$, inclusive of breakfast, 5% service charge and 10% VAT
Check in time is from 2:00pm and check out time is at 12:00 noon. Children under 12 years sharing the room with parents without extra bed is free of charge
Extra bed is available with a surcharge. Maximum 1 extra bed in one room.
Early check in before 8am is at full charge (maximum for 2 pax with buffet breakfast) and after 8am is subject to the availability.
Extension of late check-out is subject to availability and will be charged as follows:
Check out until 17:30 – 50% of room rate (maximum of 2 pax with linen and amenities in room)
Check out after 17:30 – 100% of room rate (maximum of 2 pax with linen and amenities in room)
