2/Accommodations
The spacious guest rooms and suites provide breathtaking views of the forest canopy and distant mountains dotted with pagodas and stupas from the comfort of your private terrace or balcony.
The rooms are furnished simply and elegantly, with emphasis on local styles and materials. The shimmering rosewood of the furniture contrasts beautifully with the rich, natural cotton fabrics. The large bathrooms have roomy freeform marble baths. All rooms have a hair dryer, satellite television, mini-bar, personal safe, air conditioning and international direct dial telephone.
Garden View: over 60m2, twin beds or a double king bed, located on the ground floor of the hotel. They are blessed with views overlooking our tropical gardens, or by a private terrace shadowed by towering trees. Mountain View: over 60m2, twin beds or a double king bed, these rooms offer dramatic views of the Old City of Luang Prabang and of the occasional rooftop amongst palm and coconut trees. Further away, facing your room, the magnificent Phousy Temple rises over the town, set on a steep hill. The best view of this monument is from your window. Mountain Pool View: 60m2, double king-size bed, low coffee table complement the living-space, overlook both the hotel’s dramatic infinity pool and the magnificent Phousy Temple. Phou Vao Suite: over 70m2, located on the first floor, feature a double bedroom as well as a separate living room with a large cotton sofa.
3/Restaurants and other facilities The Phou Vao Restaurant: choose to sit indoors, in sophisticated comfort, or venture outside, along the poolside and enjoy the sunset over the treetops, then the romantic glow of candles and lanterns hung among the bushes and trees of the hotel gardens. The cuisine is primarily Laotian, served in the traditional style. Alternatively, choose from the European menu, where distinctive French cuisine meets delicate, exotic touches. The Champa Bar, located on the ground floor near to the restaurant, has an extensive drinks menu, offering everything from traditional beers to house speciality cocktails, based on traditional blends but with an exotic twist. The Five Hundred Candles Private dinner: surrounded by 500 candles this private dinning experience, is a chance to combine gourmet cooking with the sophisticated elegance of the Phou Vao’s Spirit Gardens.
Other facilities: swimming pool, cooking class, cycling, pinics, and spa.
4/Packages and Rates
The rates quoted are in US$, inclusive of breakfast, 5% service charge and 10% VAT
Check in time is from 2:00pm and check out time is at 12:00 noon. Children under 12 years sharing the room with parents without extra bed is free of charge
Extra bed is available with a surcharge. Maximum 1 extra bed in one room.
Early check in before 8am is at full charge (maximum for 2 pax with buffet breakfast) and after 8am is subject to the availability.
Extension of late check-out is subject to availability and will be charged as follows:
Check out until 17:30 – 50% of room rate (maximum of 2 pax with linen and amenities in room)
Check out after 17:30 – 100% of room rate (maximum of 2 pax with linen and amenities in room)
